About

International Conference for the Presentation of Innovations in Chemical & Biochemical Optical Sensing

The Euro(t)rode conference is an internationally oriented event dedicated to promoting and disseminating interest in scientific and technological advancements and applications in the field of optical chemical sensors and biosensors. Its objective is to inform both the professional community and the general public about current research findings, technological innovations, and practical applications that contribute to improving societal welfare.

Euro(t)rode brings together scientists, engineers, biologists, technologists, and experts from related disciplines worldwide. Participants from academia, research institutions, and industry have the opportunity to exchange knowledge on the latest developments in a multidisciplinary environment.

The event provides an ideal setting to foster scientific exchange, initiate collaborations, and drive forward cutting-edge technologies. Special attention is given to the promotion of early-career researchers, who can leverage the Euro(t)rode conference to advance their careers, increase visibility, and build strong professional networks.

Date & Venue

March 29 – April 1, 2026 in Jena/Germany

Jena is the cradle of the optical industry. In the middle of the 19th century, Carl Zeiss, Ernst Abbe and Otto Schott laid the basis for rapid development with their intelligent collaboration. With two universities, several outstanding research centers and the resident high-tech industry, Jena is now a prosperous location for business and science. The areas of competence of the City of Light are primarily in optics, photonics and health and life sciences.

Europtrode will take place in the conferene center Volkshaus (Carl-Zeiß-Platz 15, 07743 Jena, Germany).

With a history of over 100 years and the lovingly preserved original architecture with Art Nouveau elements, the historic building of the Volkshaus Jena fascinates all its guests. Modern equipped rooms with extensive service, reliable organization and an impressive ambience are available for meetings and celebrations.
